An old building near Porirua is set to be knocked down, to make way for an open grassed area

The old Plunket building in Pukerua Bay will be removed, as Porirua City Council deems it unsafe and in poor condition.

It says extensive work would be needed to restore it, and an open space for community use is the best option.

Work will begin next week, and public access will be limited during this time.
