BNZ says it's looking to lower its risk - by pulling back from petrol stations, as more vehicles go electric

One customer received a letter from BNZ telling them they won't lend to petrol stations - and all debts must be repaid by 2030.

BNZ CEO, Dan Huggins, told the banking inquiry they are willing to be flexible with some customers.

He says some are trying to convert to cleaner energy sources so they will work with them.
