Auckland City Hospital is heading into a third tranche of upgrades - out of Budget hospital infrastructure funding

Auckland City Hospital is heading into a third tranche of upgrades - out of Budget hospital infrastructure funding

Over the next three years, the hospital's high-voltage power supply and ageing steam heating will be improved and replaced.

Design work's also beginning on water pipes - which blew out and cut supply for days this year.

Health NZ Northern infrastructure head, Chris Cardwell, says this work will reduce utility costs, saying several million dollars a year.
