Rory McIlroy's shot his best round of The Open Championship so far to rocket into contention on the penultimate day at Royal Portrush

The 2014 champion's produced a five-under par 66, moving into a tie for fourth at eight-under par, six shots off leader Scottie Scheffler.

McIlroy's outlined his highlights, buoyed by his home Northern Ireland supporters.



Scheffler holds a four-shot lead over Li Haotong at 14-under par after a four-under third round.
