    Residents in Southland's Gore will be drinking from bottled water for a while longer, following unsafe nitrate levels in their water supply


    Yesterday's test results show the water at the treatment plant's back within the maximum acceptable value.

    However three days of positive tests are still needed to give it the all clear.

    Gore District Council General Manger of Critical Services Jason Domigan, says tankers will remain set up across the town.

    He says there'll be times where they're refilling the tankers and staff are there ensuring they are full.
