Selma Blair is "feeling really well"

The 52-year-old actress was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2018 but is currently in remission, so enjoys getting out and about, though she needs to remember to take time to rest in order to be at her best

She told E! News at ELLE magazine's 2024 Women in Hollywood event: "I'm feeling really well. I do have to remember to rest sometimes, but it's hard when you get excited about things. But I'm doing really well.

"I love to be included with all these wonderful people, you know even that I come out now-there was a long spell none of us were really getting out, or weren't feeling well.

"So to be out again, it is a celebration. And I love seeing people happy and celebrated. The air feels different, people seem to be really excited right now. I'm just drinking it all in."

The 'Legally Blonde' actress is looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving with her son Arthur, 13, and former partner Jason Bleick.

She said: "I'm headed out of town, but I'll be back right in time for Thanksgiving with my son. And I'll just celebrate it with his dad. Simple, quiet."

Earlier this year, Selma underwent a risky two-month hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) procedure in order to try and jumpstart her immune system and she recently explained she suffered a "major relapse" afterwards, but is still in remission.

Speaking in a video update to UsWeekly, she said: "Hi. So a lot of people have been asking me how I am doing so great and my movement is so much different, and I really am excited. I want to let people know that - I'm still in remission, I'm feeling great - after the bone marrow transplant, I actually fell into a major relapse.

The 'Cruel Intentions' star also explained that an MRI "lit up flare" showed "new lesions" so she had to find a new doctor, but felt lucky to have found a "great one" who put her on an "amazing" journey with medication that has improved her speech and movement.
