Belief the threshold for All Black Sevu Reece's discharge without conviction, would've been high

Belief the threshold for All Black Sevu Reece's discharge without conviction, would've been high

The 27-year-old crashed a car into a garage door, after being asked to leave the post-Christchurch Cup Day party, last year.

The Crusader's identity was revealed yesterday, after he admitted a reduced charge of wilful damage.

Rugby Players' Association chief executive Rob Nicol says athletes aren't instructed to get name suppression.

He says their expectation is that a player owns their mistakes.

Reece was also given a discharge without conviction in 2018, for assaulting his then-partner.
