Millions of dollars is being invested in a new health centre for the Bay of Islands

Health Minister David Clark has announced 7.1-million-dollars in funding for the centre in Kawakawa.
The outpatients and primary care facility will complete the rebuild of Bay of Islands Hospital.
The health centre has been scaled back from the original Ngati Hine Health Trust design, after the group pulled out of the project earlier this year.
However, it will still house all Kawakawa and Moerewa GPs, outpatient clinics, oral health and possibly kidney services.
It's hoped design tenders will be complete in the first half of next year and the centre will open in late 2020.
