An apparent cyber attack has put a parking payment app offline

An apparent cyber attack has put a parking payment app offline

Complaints have flooded in to Councils around the country - including Wellington, Hutt, Tauranga, Christchurch and Dunedin - about the "PayMyPark" app and website..

The app, along with the PayMyPark website is also used for paying parking fines.

Wellington company ADR created the app, but has not responded to comment.

Wellington City Council had only dumped its previous app - Phone2Park - in January.

Drivers can still pay for parking at street-side parking meters using cash or cards.
