A person has been freed after a truck and car collided on the Dunedin Southern Motorway

Emergency services were called to the crash near Fairfield just before 8am.
A Fire and Emergency NZ spokeswoman says the motorway was closed while officers extracted the driver
The crash follows another in Gore - where a driver had to be freed after two vehicles collided on State Highway One - after 7.30am.
And a driver has walked away after his car went 200 metres off a bank in the Port Hills, above Christchurch
Emergency services say the man was driven home by police after the crash on Summit Rd just before 4am
