Another day of triple figure Covid-19 community cases

Another day of triple figure Covid-19 community cases

Of today's 126 cases, 18 are in Waikato, one in Northland and the rest Auckland.

Northland's case is a household member of another case in Kaitaia.

All of Waikato's cases are already linked to the outbreak, and 14 were already in isolation.

In Auckland, there are a handful of cases in Corrections custody.

The people were exposed to Covid before entering, and are being managed to stop any potential spread in prison.

Two more staff at Edmonton Meadows care home have the virus - bringing the cluster to 12 cases.

49 Covid patients are in hospital, with an average age of 47.
