A body thought to be that of missing man Loren Ross-Taylor has been found in Northland

A body thought to be that of missing man Loren Ross-Taylor has been found in Northland

It was located by police divers in Kaitaia yesterday.

Police say formal identification's ongoing, but it's believed to be the 32-year-old.

Ross-Taylor, who apparently had mental health issues, was last seen on Wednesday last week at the edge of the Awanui River.

He's believed to have wandered off as he was being helped by police, who were called by concerned members of the public.

His death will be referred to the Coroner.
