Air New Zealand is bracing for service disruptions

The national carrier says about 15 air crew are being tested and isolated, after a staff member tested positive for Omicron.

The worker was on an Auckland to Nelson flight with a household of nine people from Motueka - who all have the variant.

The entire country will now move to the Red setting of the Traffic Light system at midnight.

Air New Zealand Chief Executive Greg Foran (FOR-in) says they expect some schedule changes and cancellations in the coming weeks due to Covid-19.

He is asking customers to be patient as the company works to keep people moving. .
