Nearly a dozen youth hostels are gaining the interest of international buyers

Nearly a dozen youth hostels are gaining the interest of international buyers

The buildings are being sold - after closing late last year because of Covid financial woes.

Locations include Auckland, Rotorua, Tekapo, Mount Cook, Wanaka, Franz Josef and Te Anau.

Colliers Investment Director Hamish Doig says there's already been international interest - as well as from Kiwi operators.

He says overseas buyers see it as a great opportunity to enter our market.
