There's concern about the impact of youth crime on the Hutt Valley economy

An aggravated robbery on a Lower Hutt bus on Friday, saw six people taken into custody.
It was allegedly a result of a mass brawl involving 15 people -- most aged between 13 or 14 -- who boarded the bus at the Queensgate stop -- an area known for its safety issues.
Hutt City chamber of commerce CEO Patrick McKibbon says there will be big ramifications if issues with crime aren't addressed.
He says people won't come into the city and spend money at local businesses if it continues.
Metlink has committed to re-designing the Queensgate bus exchange to improve safety.
