    A police officer will be back at work today after being injured following a major crash in Shannon on Friday


    Around 300 people were attending a Matariki event on Grey Street in the Horowhenua town, when a stolen car smashed into several parked cars.

    During the arrest of the driver a police officer received a minor head injury.

    A 19-year-old will appear in Levin District Court today on charges of unlawfully taking a vehicle, driving while disqualified and dangerous driving.
