    A new expert has been called in a triple murder trial in Christchurch


    Lauren Dickason is accused of murdering her daughters in Timaru in 2021.

    She admits killing them, with a defence of insanity and infanticide.

    The Herald's Anna Leask says the jury has begun hearing from the Crown's first expert - Erik Monasterio.

    She says he has more than 27 years of experience as a forensic psychiatrist and spoke to Dickason four times.
