    An appetite for change amongst the public over our justice system


    It follows 21-year-old Tyreese Fleming controversially walking free on parole yesterday, despite being sentenced to two-and-a-half years last year.

    Fleming was on a restricted licence and had been drinking when he crashed a car at Washdyke, near Timaru, killing five of his friends in 2021.

    Callers to Newstalk ZB's Canterbury Mornings say this outcome should be prevented in future, with parole and sentencing laws needing a review.
