Two arrests have been made, over a robbery in the Whangarei suburb of Kamo on Tuesday night

Furthers arrests are also expected.

Detective Sergeant Paul Overton says three victims had been assaulted, one seriously, as the group had been disturbed allegedly trying to steal a vehicle.

He says another member of the public's vehicle was stolen in the process, and later recovered in Kensington.

Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
