Joey Lawrence wishes marriage came with a "guarantee" of success

The 47-year-old actor tied the knot with Samantha Cope, 36, in 2022 shortly after divorcing Chandie Yawn-Nelson - with whom he has Charleston, 17, as well as 13-year-old Liberty - and prior to that was married to Michelle Vella but is a "hopeless romantic" at heart and just wants to find "happiness" in life

He told PageSix: "My wife jokes with me, 'You've been married 100 times.' You just try to find happiness, you know? I wish there was a book because I'm a hopeless romantic. And I just wish there was some way to just guarantee that things would work out the way you thought."

The former 'Melissa and Joey' star is the elder brother of former 'Boy Meets World' actor Matthew - who split from 'Dancing with the Stars' professional Cheryl Burke in 2022 and is now in a relationship with TLC singer Rozonda 'Chilli Thoma' - and is just "happy" that his sibling is settled again.

He said: "I'm happy that my brother's happy and that he and Chilli, they're happy together. It's really cool. She's fantastic!"

The pop singer recently admitted she hopes her man will pop the question eventually.

In a video posted on TMZ.com, Chilli is asked: "Do you think you will get married?" and she replied: "I hope so."

The 'Waterfalls' hitmaker previously opened up about the relationship in an interview with Extra TV in which she lavished praise on her new man, saying: "I am so happy. I don't even know what to do with myself. He's the best. For me, anyway. He's the best."

Matthew has also been open about how smitten he is with the singer, insisting he feel like his life is in full "bloom" right now.

He told 'Entertainment Tonight': "My life is in complete bloom right now. I get to spend time with an amazing woman like Chilli. I've never gotten to be able to experience that kind of relationship before. She's really, really special."
