Mercedes are mulling over the errors that led to George Russell being disqualified from the Belgian Formula One Grand Prix because his car was 1.5 kilograms underweight

Current hypotheses for the blunder include: tyre, plank and brake wear, oil consumption and Russell's personal dehydration.

He took the chequered flag at Spa, only to have the victory expunged.

Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton was subsequently awarded the win.
