Russell Wilson has hailed Ciara as his "best friend" in a birthday message

The 35-year-old sports star - who has Sienna Princess, seven, Win Harrison, four, and Amora Princess, ten months, with Ciara - has taken to social media to wish a happy 39th birthday to his wife

Alongside a series of throwback photos and video clips, Russell wrote on Instagram: "Happy Birthday my Queen! @Ciara I love you so much. Your heart and strength inspire everyone around you. You are the best mom, wife, best friend, and hardest worker! You are the best performer and dancer in the world! Keep Dancing! Keep shining! Daddy loves you! Every day with you is a blessing and I can't wait to see the beautiful moments God has in store this year for you and our babies! I love you to Heaven and back Mrs. Wilson!! (sic)"

Russell and Ciara - who also has Future Zahir, ten, with her ex-partner Future - tied the knot back in 2016.

And Ciara previously revealed that she likes Russell to "lead" their relationship.

She told GQ magazine: "I really love letting him lead, as the man of the house."

Despite this, Russell still likes to discuss any big decisions with his wife.

The NFL star explained: "I'm a quarterback, so I like talking. I like talking about plays. I like, 'Hey, what do you think about this idea? This strategy?' 'Hey, what do you think about this for the kids?' Ciara, she's an entertainer. She runs the show. She is the show.

"So for both of us, we have our beautiful flow of dialogue, constantly. And that could be all the way from our kids to, you know, the next business decision that we're doing, to where we want to take our next trip to, you know, 'Hey, what do you think about making a donation here or there?'"
