The man charged with murdering his 60-year-old wife at her Lake Hawea property last year won't face trial for two years

Karen White was found dead at her home last March.

Police launched a homicide investigation eight months later.

Her husband, 61-year-old Robert White has pleaded not guilty to murder.

Appearing in the High Court at Invercargill today, White reaffirmed his not guilty plea.

He's been remanded on bail for another hearing in May, before a six weeks trial, beginning in April 2027.
