Otago households could soon face a 10 dollar increase to their electricity bills

Otago households could soon face a 10 dollar increase to their electricity bills

The Commerce Commission is seeking feedback on new revenue limits for electricity lines company Aurora - which supplies power to Dunedin, Central Otago and Queenstown Lakes.

Its draft decision is to allow Aurora to recover up to 663.7 million dollars over four years.

Household electricity bills could increase by around 10 dollars a month next year, followed by three dollar increases each year after.

Feedback is due by the end of next month.
