    A Whangarei man has been charged with murder in relation to a homicide in the city yesterday


    Emergency services were called to a Norfolk Street property shortly before 5pm yesterday evening, to reports of a man being injured -- who later died at the scene.

    The 53-year-old man, known to the victim, was arrested at the property, and is due to appear in Whangarei District Court tomorrow.

    A scene examination remains ongoing at the property.
