    Famous Canterbury pie shop Sheffield Pies has closed its doors for the day, confirming a customer died outside this morning - when hit by a ute


    Emergency services were called to outside the shop on State Highway 73, northwest of Darfield, before 7 this morning.

    The Transport Agency's warning the road is likely to remain closed several hours, for investigations.
