    Auckland sports fans have jumped at the chance to add Auckland FC to their rotation


    The city's flagship football team's drawn in tens of thousands over its first season - aided by its winning streak.

    AUT sports management lecturer Sarah Wymer says while it hasn't pulled fans away from other sports, it's definitely become a popular option.

    She says the games appeal to families as they're held earlier in the afternoon - and offer other activities on the sidelines..
