    Police are continuing to search for a second suspect after armed police swarmed a West Auckland mall yesterday evening


    Officers tracked two people to New Lynn Mall shortly after 5pm following reports of a person being robbed by two men and threatened with a firearm.

    Officers subsequently guarded entrances and exits of the complex before arresting one of the suspects and recovering a firearm.

    A video showed to our newsroom shows police sweeping the bathrooms of a mall cinema after moviegoers were ordered to evacuate.
