Donald Sarratt was found guilty of possessing, and knowingly making and copying objectionable material.
Police acknowledge the sentence.
An operation looking into the website started in 2022 - after a referral from US officials.
It uncovered more than 85 thousand computer generated images - 30-thousand of which depicted graphic sexual abuse and torture of children and infants.
