Belief increasing apartment density around key Auckland City Rail Link stations, strikes the right balance

Belief increasing apartment density around key Auckland City Rail Link stations, strikes the right balance

The Government's announced Resource Management Bill amendments, forcing the Council to allow apartments at least 10, or 15 storeys tall.

Councillor Richard Hills told Heather du Plessis-Allan it's good to have heritage areas - but we also need to prioritise housing, jobs, and station access.

Hills says council and ratepayers are investing in very expensive infrastructure, which may not have good rider-ship or access, if people can't build around it.
