    Canterbury Rugby's high performance general manager is welcoming Richie Mo'unga's return to the region for the 2026 NPC competition


    The 31-year-old first-five's signed an 18-month deal with New Zealand Rugby from July next year, but will play for the red-and-blacks first before becoming eligible for the All Blacks from October 2026.

    Tim Hurst - who was in Waikato when Damian McKenzie returned for the Mooloos in 2022 from Japan - says it's great to see All Blacks giving back to their roots.
