A record financial result for Christchurch's Lyttelton Port Company

A record financial result for Christchurch's Lyttelton Port Company

Revenue, profit and earnings have all reached their highest levels for the first half of the financial year.

Total revenue climbed 7.6 percent to 108.5 million-dollars, while net profit after tax surged 19.2 percent to 14.6 million.

Bulk cargo delivered a standout performance, rising 13 percent year-on-year.

CEO Graeme Summer says the results show the resilience of the port's bulk operations, and the vital role it plays in supporting the South Island economy.
