A paedophile teacher jailed indefinitely for sexually abusing 20 Northland boys, is eyeing up a move to the South Island, if and when released

A paedophile teacher jailed indefinitely for sexually abusing 20 Northland boys, is eyeing up a move to the South Island, if and when released

James Robertson Parker was sentenced to preventive detention in 2013 for the offences, committed while he was deputy principal of Pamapuria School, near Kaitaia.

He made a fourth appearance before the Parole Board yesterday - and detailed how he continues to work to improve himself behind bars.

Parker says he dreams to move to the South Island and get a job based outdoors.

The Board says Parker has some work to do to before a possible release - and will see him again in November.
