Biosecurity are waiting to confirm if another yellow-legged hornet's been found in Auckland

Biosecurity are waiting to confirm if another yellow-legged hornet's been found in Auckland

Staff are now collecting a sample from Glenfield, to be examined by experts at their lab.

The last confirmed find was last weekend, with Biosecurity receiving more than 18-hundred notifications from the public since late October.

Commissioner Mike Inglis, says all confirmed finds have been in Glenfield and Birkdale, so there's likely to be more in the area.

A network of 135 traps has been placed around the suburbs.
