Comparison can be the thief of joy in the eyes of golfer Scottie Scheffler

Comparison can be the thief of joy in the eyes of golfer Scottie Scheffler

He has secured victory at The Open by a four-stroke margin at Royal Portrush with an overall score of 17-under par.

Fans and media have subsequently pointed out Scheffler took eleven hundred and 97 days between his first and fourth major titles, exactly the same number as Tiger Woods, who has currently amassed 15.

Scheffler has buried any such links in the rough.
