Five times Olympic gold medalist American Katie Ledecky has been stunned by young Australian Ariane Titmus in the women's 400 metres final at the Tokyo Olympics

Titmus has claimed gold ahead of the reigning Olympic champ with New Zealand's Erica Fairweather finishing 8th.
The 17 year old Kiwi was unable to reproduce her New Zealand record breaking swim in the heats .
Erika Fairweather is back in the pool for the 200 metres freestyle heats tonight.
The Americans have won the 4x 100 metres freestyle relay while Brit Adam Peaty has retained his 100 breaststroke title.
