Auckland Police have released CCTV footage of a woman they want to speak to, in relation to a boy being assaulted on a bus

The 16-year old was hit hit with a pole last Friday, and left with facial injuries.

Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown and Transport Minister Simeon Brown have both condemned the attack.

Police say the woman is a person of interest, and the images show her all in black and carrying a suitcase.

Police are still asking people to come forward - and say people should report all matters to them, rather than taking matters in their own hands.
