Dejected Auckland FC coach Steve Corica has slammed the decision to rule out a goal that would have levelled their A-League football semi-final

Dejected Auckland FC coach Steve Corica has slammed the decision to rule out a goal that would have levelled their A-League football semi-final

The competition newcomers have been denied a trip to the grand final in their first year, beaten 2-1 on aggregate by Melbourne Victory.

After going behind 2-nil on the night - Auckland thought they'd pulled back on terms overall - only for Logan Rogerson's header to be denied after the cross was deemed to have gone out.

Victory counterpart Arthur Diles says it is what it is.

Victory will host the grand final against Melbourne City - whose 1-all draw with Western United secured a 4-1 win on aggregate.
