Peter Kosetatino now faces three years and 11 months behind bars.
The High Court ruled his previous sentence -- of two years, two months and one week -- was "manifestly inadequate".
The court ruled the man's guilty pleas, age, lack of prior convictions and efforts at rehabilitation had to be balanced against principles of public condemnation, deterrence, victim harm and protection of the community.
Rape carries a maximum possible sentence of 20 years' imprisonment, while aggravated robbery is punishable by up to 14 years behind bars.
