Police believe they've located the 79-year-old's body in central Christchurch yesterday, after she was reported missing from a Riccarton rest home on June 4th.

Ryman Healthcare Chief Operating Officer, Marsha Cadman says their deepest condolences are with her family and friends and they're supporting residents and team members while continuing to liaise with police.

The death is being referred to the Coroner.
