A spurned lover and stalker with a violent past stabbed a Christchurch mum 55 times in front of her children

Open Justice reports 36-year-old Nathan Boulter today pleaded guilty to murdering the woman in Parklands in July.

Her name is suppressed.

The pair entered a brief relationship in May, and she ended things when he was recalled to prison.

After release, Boulter harassed her electronically - calling her 581 times over two weeks in July, and used multiple numbers and social media profiles to harass, stalk and threaten.

He then attacked her as she walked up her drive with her children.
