More closures for Dunedin's up and coming retail quarter

More closures for Dunedin's up and coming retail quarter

The Farmers Block of George Street will be temporarily shut to traffic until the end of October, while Filleul Street is one-way south only between St Andrew Street and Moray Place.

This is to allow the connection of the two ends of new stormwater pipes.

The city council says the pipes are the largest they have installed, as part of the Retail Quarter Upgrade.

They say they will significantly reduce the risk of flooding in the area in future heavy rain events.
