    A man has critical injuries after two people stole his vehicle in Hamilton overnight


    Police were called about 10.20pm last night - and at 12.30am, identified a vehicle of interest near Tauranga.

    Its driver was taken into custody after a pursuit .

    A 37-year-old man's due in Tauranga District Court today charged with failing to stop and recklessly operating a motor vehicle.

    Police believe the people involved knew each other - and are working to identify and locate more alleged offenders.
