Wellington City Council is suspending Beam's license to operate e-scooters in the capital from midnight tonight - after allegations its fleet was larger than permitted

Chief Planning Officer Liam Hodgetts says staff are working through information from Beam, reporting platform Ride Report - and a whistleblower.
The company must remove its e-scooters and e-bikes from the city by 5pm Sunday.
Auckland Council cancelled the company's license over the same issue.
