Firefighters have been battling a house fire in Wellington's Titahi Bay, which began around 11pm

Fire and Emergency says roaring wind, caused concern about the fire spreading.
It says surrounding houses were evacuated and people gathered at a local fire station.
Eight fire trucks, a ladder truck and command unit fought the fire for about an hour, when it was extinguished.
There's extensive damage to the house and some firefighters are still there.
One firefighter is injured and is getting x-rays on her ankle this morning.
