Australia's Min Woo Lee has broken through for his first PGA Tour victory following a tense finish at the Houston Open.
Lee led by a stroke over world number one Scottie Scheffler and 2019 US Open champion Gary Woodland as he headed to the tee on the 18th hole at Memorial Park.
His second shot missed the green, but a clutch putt got the West Australian only inches from the hole.
Lee held his nerve for a tap-in par to avoid a play-off and clinch a one-shot victory, completing the tournament on 20-under-par.
"It's unbelievable," Lee said.
"I mean, it was a big mental grind and I'm very proud.
"Looking around, the Houston crowd was awesome obviously, and Scotty was there and it was nerve-wracking."
Scheffler, world number two Rory McIlroy and a swag of other heavyweights stormed home to put pressure on Lee, who also has professional wins on the European, Asian and Australasian tours.
After extending his four-shot lead after the third round to five at one point on the final day, Lee's buffer was slashed to one stroke down the back nine.
He found the water off the tee on the par-five 16th hole and Scheffler reeled off four successive birdies.
But Lee recovered from his first bogey in 41 holes to par the last two to secure the most significant win of his career.
His scrambling par at the 72nd hole — from 54 feet and off the green to inside a foot — symbolised the 26-year-old's grit.
Lee eventually carded a 3-under 67.
Scheffler finished with a superb 7-under 63 to share second with Woodland.
Woodland had set the clubhouse lead at 19-under with a tournament-record-equalling 62, a brilliant round matched by Finland's Sami Valimaki, who was outright fourth at 17-under.
After starting the day eight shots back, McIlroy had to settle for a tie for fifth at 15-under after conjuring a birdie and six eagles in a round of 64.
But the day and the spoils belonged to Lee, who was stoic and scintillating in equal measures as he warmed up beautifully for the Masters, the year's first major starting at Augusta National in 11 days' time.
