Health Minister Andrew Little says the funding's part of 71.6 million dollars in commissioning investments by Te Aka Whai Ora - Maori Health Authority.
A third of the funding is going to the priority areas of cancer, maternity and early years, and people with chronic conditions and mental distress.
It also includes 13-million for contract increases with Maori health providers, and 11.7 million to support diverse whanau voices to inform the design and provision of healthcare.
