Businesses in South Waikato and Tauranga have been caught selling alcohol to minors in undercover operations

Businesses in South Waikato and Tauranga have been caught selling alcohol to minors in undercover operations

Eight out of 11 stores tested in Tokoroa and Putaruru didn't check ID.

Police say that's genuinely shocking, because a previous operation netted only one failure.

In Tauranga, eight businesses were caught selling alcohol to teens aged between 15 and 17 - including bottle stores and a supermarket.
