A Tauranga jury has found a man guilty of sexually assaulting a woman after a work party

A Tauranga jury has found a man guilty of sexually assaulting a woman after a work party

Open Justice reports the woman broke into tears as the verdict was delivered at the District Court.

She had recounted waking early in the morning to find the man forcing himself on her.

His defence called that an 'absolute fantasy' - but the prosecution pointed out a hat the man wore that night, was found in the woman's bed.

He has been remanded in custody until sentencing.
