    A 99-year-old man is planning to walk 100 kilometres on his 100th birthday this November - for a good cause


    Hawke's Bay's Hamilton Logan, hopes to start a perpetual funding stream for the local rescue helicopter service, St John Ambulance and the Rural Support Trust.

    He believes some lives would not have been saved without their services.

    He says he naturally has an affinity for people who suffer injuries and financial ups and downs in that community.
